HUA HIN

Hua Hin is a district in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province located 188 kilometers south of Bangkok. It boasts a large market and is full of food and souvenir shops as well as hotels. The beach at Hua Hin is 5 kilometers long and has fine white sand and clear water and is ideal for swimming. Located on the sunrise side of the Gulf of Thailand, Hua Hin and nearby Cha-Am are quiet relaxed coastal towns, perfect for family vacations. These resorts lack the hustle and bustle of an international playground and instead afford a quiet escape.

Hua Hin has the added attraction of a traditional fishing pier. Hua Hin is Thailand’s oldest beach resort enjoying a vogue among Thai royalty and aristocracy since the 1920s. Hua Hin is the oldest and most traditional Thai holiday resort and it combines the convenience of a modern holiday destination with the charm of a still active fishing port. Hua Hin is very popular with domestic Thai tourists and therefore has kept a very strong local feel to it.

Aside of its extensive beach, Hua Hin provides the highest density of world class golf courses anywhere in Thailand, although still among the better kept secrets, it is slowly gaining status an international Golf destination. Green-fees vary course by course and according to season, while course maintenance and services are a delight for any golfing enthusiast. The Jewel in the crown is Black Mountain Golf Club, voted best course in Thailand for four years in a row, and now hosting the European Tour's True Thailand Classic event annually.

Nowadays Hua Hin, rich with the legend, history and beautiful scenery, is still an exquisite and peaceful venue and full of natural beauty, for anyone to discover or enjoy over and over again. Today all the big hotel chains have properties in Hua Hin and French, Italian, German and Scandinavian restaurants are popping up, creating a little slice of home for sun-kissed escapees from the European winter.
